TableJack — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The short version: the tables you extract never leave your computer. TableJack reads, converts and saves everything locally. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no account.

One exception, and only if you buy Pro: activating your licence sends your licence key to our payment provider once, to confirm it is genuine. That request contains your licence key and a device label. It never contains page content, table data, URLs, or anything about what you were looking at.

What TableJack does with page data

When you click the TableJack icon, it reads the tables on the page you are currently viewing so it can show them to you and convert them. That data stays in your browser's memory. If you export, the file is written directly to your own Downloads folder, or the text is placed on your own clipboard.

Page content is never transmitted anywhere, on any tier. There is no code in TableJack that sends page data to anyone. The source is unminified and you can verify this yourself.

The one network request: licence activation

If you buy Pro, TableJack contacts our payment provider, Dodo Payments, to confirm your licence key is real. This is the only time the extension uses the network.

What is sentTo whomWhenWhy
Your licence key, and a short device label such as Chrome on Windows Dodo Payments (live.dodopayments.com) Once, when you activate. Occasionally afterwards to re-check the licence is still valid. To confirm the key is genuine and has not exceeded its device limit

That is the complete contents of the request. Your IP address is visible to Dodo Payments as it is to any website you connect to. We do not send your email address, your name, the pages you visit, or anything you have extracted.

If the request fails — you are offline, or the service is unreachable — TableJack keeps working. It does not lock you out because it could not reach the internet.

Dodo Payments handles this data under their own privacy policy, as the merchant of record for your purchase.

The free tier makes no network requests at all

If you never buy Pro, TableJack never contacts anything. There is no activation to perform, so there is nothing to send.

What is stored, and where

WhatWhereWhy
Your licence key and activation record, if you bought Pro Chrome's extension storage on your device, synced across your signed-in browsers if you have Chrome Sync on So Pro stays unlocked between sessions
Column preferencesSameSo your choices persist

That is the complete list. Both live in storage that belongs to you and that we cannot read. Removing the extension removes them.

Permissions, and why each one exists

TableJack requests no permission to read any website. It cannot read a page until you click it.

Payments

If you buy Pro, payment is handled entirely by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. Your email address is used only to deliver your licence key and receipt. We do not sell, rent or share it.

Children

TableJack is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Data-protection laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. We hold almost none — the exceptions are the email address attached to a purchase, and the activation record held by Dodo Payments. You can ask us to remove either at any time using the contact address below, and we will pass the request on where it sits with them.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If a change ever involved collecting more than is described above, it would be announced in the extension itself before taking effect.
